District attorney Micheal Murray reported that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court with Judge Stephen Ellis presiding. Those sentenced were:
• Johnny Scaff pled guilty to evading arrest and was sentenced to 10 years. Further, Scaff pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 24 months.
• Dustin Wayne Lindley pled guilty to the felony offense of evading arrest and was sentenced to eight years.
• David Ernest Tucknott, on probation for the felony offenses of continuous violence against the family and aggravated assault was adjudicated and sentenced to seven years. Further, Tucknott pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of unauthorized use of a vehicle and was sentenced to six months.
• Christina Moreno pled guilty to the felony offense of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and was sentenced to five years.
• Matthew Scott Lopez pled guilty to two separate felony offenses of possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone was sentenced to 24 months.
• Joseph Matthew Silva, on probation for the state jail felony offense of theft of metals was revoked and sentenced to 24 months.
• John Vidal Pesina, on probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance was revoked and sentenced to 15 months.
• Thomas Carl Norman pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 15 months.
• Shelley Beth Schafer, on probation for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance was adjudicated and sentenced to six months.
