Touring abandoned home leads to drug arrest

Deputies Mathis and Rodriguez with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a home on Highway 279 February 1 regarding subjects with flashlights in an abandoned home. A female subject was arrested for five in-house warrants. The male subject, identified as Trent Duffer, was ultimately arrested for 39 grams of marijuana, 60 mg of amphetamine/dextroamphetamine, 4 mg of Alprazolam and 100 mg of sildenafil citrate. Duffer was charged with possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 2, possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 3, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of marijuana.

In other incidents:
• After a traffic stop for expired registration, Monty Fraser was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and driving while license invalid. Roughly .7 grams of methamphetamine was found in the truck during a consent search.
• Illegal dumping on CR 134.
• Illegal dumping at the Flagship Inn on Hwy 279.
• Illegal dumping at the intersection of CR 190 and CR 180.
