PVRW to welcome special guest speaker

The Pecan Valley Republican Women is inviting the public to join them Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. at Texas State Technical College, located at 305 Booker. Event goers are asked to use the entrance at the back of the building. The featured speaker will be Zenia Warren, Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW) District Director of SD24. Warren will be speaking on the History on NFRW and TFRW and why being a member makes a difference. Everyone is encouraged to attend. PVRW is a women’s organization, but men are encouraged to participate as associates.

Warren has been actively involved with the Republican Party of Texas, Bell County, and the Texas Federation of Republican Women for more than 10 years. She is a Grassroots Core Volunteer, active with the Central Texas Republican Women. She is currently serving as president and newsletter editor/webmaster. She has served as president and in many other positions over the last eight years. She was elected TFRW SD24 District Director in 2016 and again in 2018. She has attended the NFRW and TFRW Conventions in 2013, 2015, and 2017 as a delegate. She received TFRW Tribute Honoree Award in 2014 and 2016. Currently a deputy voter registrar, she has worked as an election judge, clerk, Ballot Board Member and on the Primary Committee. Warren has attended numerous county, district and state conventions as a delegate and has chaired the nominations committee and served as district secretary.

Warren traveled with the Mighty Texas Strike Force, Nevada in 2016 and served as vice-chairman for the Republican Party of Bell County. She retired in 2012, working as the office administrator for the Bell County Attorney’s Office, receiving Bell County’s recognition for twenty years of service. She has resided in Killeen for more than 40 years with her husband Bob. Both served in the U.S. Army and she is a Vietnam Veteran. To attend, you are asked to RSVP by texting 998-3880.
