The following calls were responded to by the Brownwood Police Department and included in the offense and incident reports for April 8 and April 9.
On Friday, April 5, at approximately 0439 an officer was patrolling in the 2100 Block of 10th Street and noticed two males in the driveway of 2105 10th, one male ducking down between three vehicles. The incident shows to be cleared by arrest for the offense of Theft of Property <$100, a class C misdemeanor.
On April 5, 2019 at approximately 1434 hours an officer was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center in reference to theft greater than $100 but less than $750.
On April 5, 2019 at approximately 1647 hours a Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to a hit and run accident at 109 N. Fisk Avenue. A partial suspect license plate was obtained from a witness and an active report was generated.
On April 5, 2019 at approximately 2100 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive for an assault call. Police arrived and made a report for an assault.
On Friday, April 5, 2019, at approximately 2114 hours, an Officer was dispatched to a north Brownwood address regarding an assault that had just occurred. An investigation and a report was completed.
On Friday, April 5, 2019 at approximately 2243 hours, an Officer conducted a traffic stop on a black sedan. An investigation and an arrest was made. Charges include possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and prohibited substance/item in correctional facility, a 3rd degree felony.
On Saturday, April 6, 2019 at approximately 0217 hours, an officer was dispatched to a suspicious call located at a north Brownwood business. Upon arrival an investigation and an arrest was made. Charges include Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or more and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1<1G.
On April 6, 2019 a Brownwood police officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of Santa Clara in reference to an unwanted person. Communications indicated that a female had wandered into a house and that the resident of the house had no idea who the female was. The woman was located and arrested for Public Intoxication with three prior convictions. A report was generated.
On April 7, 2019 at approximately 0000 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane for a 911 hang up call. Police made contact with a suspect and made an arrest for public intoxication.
On Sunday, April 7, 2019 at approximately 1500 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 700 block of West Commerce in reference to a Burglary of a Building. A report was generated for this incident.
On Sunday, April 7, 2019 officers of the Brownwood Police Department were dispatched to a south side residence for a report of criminal mischief. An investigation and a report was completed.
On Sunday, April 7, 2019 Brownwood Police were dispatched to a south Brownwood business for a theft report. The stolen item was returned within an hour of the report.
On Sunday, April 7, 2019 at approximately 2017 hours an officer completed a traffic stop in the 200 block of Austin Avenue. An investigation and an arrest was made for possession of marijuana.
On Sunday, April 8, 2019 Brownwood Police were dispatched to a south Brownwood residence for an assault report. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.
On April 8, 2019 at approximately 1905 hours, a Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched about a CPS employee needing a phone call from an officer in reference to child endangerment. A report was generated at the reporting party’s request for further consideration.
On April 8, 2019 officers were dispatched to the corner of Mustang and Golding Road for an animal at large complaint. When officers arrived the reporting party informed officers the loose dog was on Golding Road and their dog was attacked by the other dog. Officers were able to locate the owner of the dog in the 3500 block of Golding Road. The owner of the loose dog was issued a citation for animal at large.
