At-Large Dogs Cost Owners Fines

Brownwood Police Report released Thursday, April 11, 2019.

On Wednesday, April 3, 2019, Officers responded to 500 E. Commerce (Skillets) in reference to disorderly conduct.  After speaking with the caller, a report was generated.

On Monday, April 8, 2019, Officers responded to the 2100 block of Southside in reference to criminal mischief.  After speaking with the owner of the damaged property, a report was generated.

On April 8, 2019 at 2000 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 1400 Blk. Of Durham Ave in reference to a burglary.  A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.

On April 9, 2019 an Officer went to an address in south Brownwood and arrested a man for an outstanding warrant out of the Brownwood PD for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.  It was discovered that the man had also violated a protective order and he was also charged with Violation of a Protective Order.

On Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at approximately 1913 hours, 911 operators assigned an Officer to a call in reference to a stolen vehicle in the 700 block of West Commerce.  The calling party stated that a vehicle had been stolen and they needed to file a report.

On April 9, 2019 Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Ave D and 8th Street for a report of an animal at large.  When officers arrived, there were two Pitbull mixes in the street on the 1900 block of Avenue D.  One dog was able to be placed back into the home while the other remained outside and aggressive.  The owner of the dog was contacted, the dog was secured and a citation issued to the dog’s owner.

On Tuesday, April 9, 2019 an Officer was dispatched to 1815 Coggin Avenue in reference to a dog at large.  The officer located the dog following a pedestrian that was walking down the 1800 block of Coggin Ave.  The dog was returned to the 1600 block of Ave. J and the owner was issued a citation.

On Wednesday, Officers of the Brownwood Police Department were dispatched to 1050 W. Commerce in regards to an assault.  An investigation and report was completed.

On April 10, 2019 an Officer took a report of theft at Walmart on West Commerce after a female was detained.  She also had an outstanding warrant with Municipal Court.  She was taken into custody and released to BCSO jail.
