Man Flees Attempted Arrest in May – Brown Co. S.O. Report

The following are reports of service by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department as released on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

On Friday, April 5, 2019, at about 1647 hours, Deputy Simpson responded to County Road 604.  This was in regards to a possible burglary of a habitation.  A Deputy met with the victim who showed the Deputy the side door where the outside window pane was shattered and the door knob was drilled out.  A report was made.

On Friday, April 5, 2019, at about 2126 hours, a Deputy responded to US Highway 377 South.  This was in regards to an abandoned vehicle.  Upon arriving on scene, the Deputy noticed the vehicle was partially in the roadway.  Dispatch attempted contact with the registered owners.  A wrecker service arrived on scene and took possession of the vehicle.

On April 5, 2019, at approximately 1224 hours, a Deputy received a phone call about a public nuisance at FM 1689 in May, Texas.  A report was made.

On April 8, 2019, at approximately 2047 hours, a Deputy responded to Main Blvd for a wanted person.  The Deputy contacted two subjects.  Both were subsequently arrested for warrants and possession of marijuana <2 oz.  One man possessed .6 grams of marijuana and one possessed 1.6 grams of marijuana.  Both were taken to the Brown County Jail and released to jail staff.

On April 9, 2019, at about 1514 hours, two Deputies attempted an arrest warrant for a suspect on North 183 in May, Texas.  While attempting the arrest warrant, the wanted man fled on foot out the back door and into a pasture, evading arrest.

On Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at 10:57 pm, a Deputy made a traffic stop on a white tanker truck for no tail lights.  Upon identifying the driver, it was discovered the man’s driver license was invalid, due to multiple suspensions.  He was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.
