The following are reports from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department as released on Monday, April 22, 2019:
On April 15, 2019, at 09:29 hours, a Deputy was dispatched to FM 585 in Bangs in regards to animal cruelty. Upon arrival, the Deputy met with a man who said an unknown person killed his dog. A report was taken.
On April 16, 2019, at approximately 1342 hours, a Deputy traveled to Belfast for a Public Nuisance. A report was made.
On Tuesday, April 16, 2019 a Lieutenant was dispatched to County Road 334 in regards to a suspicious person being on the property. It was discovered a male subject had been inside a storage building located next door to CR 334. A report was taken and there are no known suspects to list.
On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at approximately 16:34, a Deputy was dispatched to Killarney Drive in reference to a burglary of a habitation and the theft of a firearm report and investigation. The report will follow.
On April 17, 2019 a Deputy traveled to Clifden Drive on a Public Nuisance. A report was made.
On April 16, 2019 a Lieutenant was dispatched to the Brown County Law Enforcement Center. This was in regards to a walk-in regarding credit card abuse. A report was taken. There are no suspects to list.
On Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at approximately 12:21 pm, a Deputy talked to the complainant who advised they were missing a small mare pony. The report will follow.
On April 18, 2019 a Corporal with Brown Co. S.O. responded to a residence on Killarney Drive. This was to a report of a suspicious person in the area. While on scene, the caller also reported things she believed had been stolen from around her property in previous weeks and a report was made.
On April 19, 2019, at approximately 00:07 am, a Deputy responded to a call at Newcastle Drive in Brownwood in regards to theft. After further investigation, a burglary report was made regarding miscellaneous tools and a carburetor.
On April 19, 2019, at about 08:29 hours, a Deputy arrived at North US 183 in Brownwood. This was in regards to a domestic disturbance. The Deputy spoke to a female victim who stated her husband had pushed her against the wall during a verbal argument.
On April 19, 2019, at 10:46 hours, a Deputy was dispatched to 1050 West Commerce, Brownwood Law Enforcement Center, in regards to found property. The Deputy met with a woman who said she found a medal at the entrance of her property. A report was taken.
On April 19, 2019, at about 11:13 hours, a Deputy arrived at County Road 372 in Early, Texas in regards to criminal mischief. A woman said she believes her ex-husband cut her fence.
On Friday, April 19, 2019, at about 7:44, a Deputy made a traffic stop on a white Ford pickup. This was for littering at the intersection of Main and Fisk. The driver and two passengers were identified. A female admitted she threw a cigarette butt out of the window. The man was driving on a suspended driver’s license and was arrested for Driving While License Invalid. A consent search of the other man was done and he was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested for the Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The woman was issued a citation for littering.
On April 19, 2019, at approximately 23:17 pm, a Deputy initiated a call for a suspicious vehicle which was parked on the side of the road located at County Road 372 in Brownwood. While making contact with the driver and 2 passengers, the Deputy could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. After conducting a probable cause search, a total of 1.4 grams of marijuana was located. The driver admitted to possessing the marijuana and was arrested for Possession of Marijuana <2 oz, MB.
On April 20, 2019, at approximately 1443 hours, a Deputy responded to Dartmore for an Assault Report. The Deputy contacted the victim who advised a known suspect assaulted her in Brown County. The incident is still being investigated.
On April 20, 2019, a Deputy responded to a report of a hit and run in the 6900 Block of Forbess Drive in Brownwood. The Deputy observed the suspect’s vehicle had struck two separate fences. The first at Lovers Lane and the second was at Blarney Drive. Photos were taken of the damage. The vehicle was not located at this time. On April 21, 2019, the Deputy located the vehicle and contacted the owner. Photos and information were gathered and a report was made for further investigation.
