Noon Weather Update 4/23/19
Weather is top priority this afternoon, tonight and all day Wednesday.
As we go through this afternoon, a few showers are possible, a storm could form toward late afternoon. A line of storms is forecast to be in the KOXE listening area between 8 pm and midnight tonight. Some of these may be severe with large hail, damaging wind and very heavy rain.
But that’s only the first round of rain. There will be more rain overnight, perhaps the heaviest rain coming on Wednesday.
Current projection is that 2 to 4 inches of rain may fall in the next 36 hours in the KOXE listening area.
As of Noon Tuesday, Lake Brownwood is 99 point 9 percent full. Concerns are that heavy rain could cause some flash flooding issues in Brownwood and Early if the heavy rains occur as forecast.
You are encouraged to stay tuned to the latest forecast, have a way to receive weather warnings whether it’s through media, your cell phone or Code Red offered by several area cities.
As always, listen to KOXE 101.3 for updates.
