Brown County Jail Receives Perfect Score During Jail Inspection

The State Jail Commission recently inspected the Brown County Jail and gave it a perfect score which is almost unheard of. “They praised the exemplary performance that the sheriff and his corrections staff are doing,” said Dr. Paul Lilly, County Judge.
Sheriff Vance Hill gave all the credit to his entire jail staff who, he said, have a very hard job. He specifically recognized Chief Deputy Becky Caffey, Jail Administrator Captain Les Karnes, Lieutenant Melanie Dees and Lieutenant Chuck Lawson for making the perfect jail inspection possible. In the photo Dr. Lilly is shown presenting the S.O. a plaque in recognition of the perfect score to Sheriff Hill, Chief Deputy Caffey, Jail Administrator Karens and Lt. Dees.
