Stolen Chicken Nuggets / Stolen Texas Flag on S.O. Report

The following calls were responded to by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.

On Thursday, April 11, 2019, at approximately 1:00 pm, a man, later identified, was leaving the Brown County Courthouse.  According to the report, the man stole the Texas flag belonging to the Courthouse Security, which was used for a landmark.  The deputy used the Courthouse security cameras to determine who stole the flag.  The deputy was able to identify the man by showing a screenshot of the act to the District Clerk who waited on him that day.

On May 3, 2019, at about 10:08 hours, a Deputy arrived at the Brown County Jail in regards to an inmate on inmate assault.  The Deputy spoke to both the victim and four suspected to be involved.

On May 3, 2019, at approximately 2101 hours, Deputy made a suspicious stop on a 2009 Ford F-250 in the 300 block of Live Oak Drive.  Contact was made with a man and woman who were subsequently arrested for numerous warrants and additionally charged with Possession of Controlled Substance PG1.  The female was also charged with Possession of Marijuana.  Both were taken to the Brown County Jail.

On May 3, 2019, at 11:01 hours, a Deputy was dispatched to a forgery call.  A woman reported a man had forged her checks.  A report was taken.

On May 4, 2019, a Sgt. with Brown County S.O. responded to Flatrock Park in reference to a report of Disorderly Conduct.  The manager of the park advised he had asked several individuals to leave, but they refused.  After further investigation, a man was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning for the park and released.  A report was made.

On May 4, 2019, a Deputy responded to a report of an unwanted person.  A woman reported her ex-husband was at her residence and would not leave.  The man left prior to the Deputy arriving.  Information was gathered for a report and further investigation.

On May 4, 2019, a Deputy took a report of an assault in the Brown County Jail.  A man claimed he was assaulted and in fear of his life but requested a lawyer before being questioned about the incident.

On May 5, 2019 Brown County Deputies were dispatched to a camp site at Sandy Beach in regards to a verbal argument.  Several subjects were located on scene and most had been drinking.  One man had several marks on his head, including a hole in his lip from his tooth.  An information report was done, due to all subjects stating the man had fallen and hurt himself.

On May 5, 2019, at approximately 1454 hours, a Deputy responded to CR 546 for a burglary report.  The victim advised 7 chicken nuggets were taken from her home.  The incident still being investigated.

On May 5, 2019 an S.O. Sgt. was dispatched to County Road 209.  This was in reference to a report of an animal bite.  Complainant advised she had been bitten by a dog while riding her golf cart in Brookesmith.
