The Brownwood Police Department responded to the following offense and incident reports.
On Friday, April 26, 2019, officers of the Brownwood Police Department were dispatched to contact a Brownwood resident by phone in regards to being scammed out of money. An investigation and a report was completed.
On April 30, 2019, at approximately 0559 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of 7th Street for a call of harassment. Officers made contact with the suspect. Officers arrested the suspect for evading arrest or detention.
On Thursday, May 2, 2019 an Officer was dispatched to the 2300 block of Calvert Road in reference to a loose dog that had killed chickens. The owner of the dogs was located and a citation was issued.
On Friday, May 3, 2019, at approximately 0807 hours, an Officer was dispatched to a north Brownwood business in reference to a Theft. Upon arrival the officer met with the owner of the business who advised that on Thursday, May 2, 2019 a man had come in the store and stolen a carton of cigarettes. The owner was asked is he wished to pursue charges for Theft. The owner did wish to file charges if the officer can identify the subject.
On Friday, May 3, 2019, at approximately 1535 hours, an Officer was traveling north in the 300 block of Main Street and observed a white minivan that was not displaying a registration insignia. A traffic stop and an arrest was made.
On Saturday, May 4, 2019, at approximately 0850 hours, an Officer and a Corporal were dispatched to a south Brownwood address, regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival an investigation and an arrest was made.
On Saturday, May 4, 2019 at approximately 1333 hours, an Officer was dispatched to a south Brownwood address regarding theft of a motor vehicle that happened earlier in the day. Upon arrival an investigation and a report was completed.
On Sunday, May 5, 2019 Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood residence for a burglary of a vehicle report. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.
On Sunday, May 5, 2019 at approximately 1558 hours, an Officer was dispatched to a north Brownwood business regarding a theft. Upon arrival an investigation and a report was completed.
On May 5, 2019 Brownwood Police Department was dispatched to the 1600 block of Hawkins, in reference to a hit and run. An Officer spoke with the victim/complainant. A report was generated for Duty on Striking Unattended Vehicle, a Class B Misdemeanor.
