A Comanche woman was killed in an auto accident about 5:14 am Wednesday, May 15, two miles east of Proctor on Highway 67.

Carla Teresita Ontiveros-Lara, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The body was taken to Comanche Funeral Home.

Ontiveros-Lara was driving a Ford Fiesta that collided with a three-quarter ton Ford pickup which was driven by 39-year-old Humberto Garcia of Stephenville who was taken to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth in critical condition.

Also in the pickup with Garcia was 41-year-old Hipolito Maya Gonzales of Stephenville who was taken to Comanche County Medical Center in serious condition.

According to the preliminary DPS report, the car, driven by Ontiveros-Lara, was going east and veered into the west bound lane, colliding with Garcia’s pickup.

The crash remains under investigation.
