A man evaded police but only for a short distance before being arrested Tuesday.  That is one of the items on the Police Blotter below.

• On Monday, July 1, 2019 at approximately 19:27 hours, an officer was dispatched to the 1700 block of Ave B in reference to a burglary of a building. The officer arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant in reference to the incident. A report has been made.
• On 7/2/19, at approximately 10:00 hrs, an officer was dispatched to the Brownwood LEC in reference to theft. A report was generated at the complainant’s request.
• On 7/2/19, at approximately 10:59 hrs, Brownwood PD Officers were dispatched to the area around the intersection of W. Commerce and Main St. in reference to a reckless driver.  The driver, a man, was later located and, after short pursuit, was apprehended for evading in a motor vehicle.  He was transported to the Brown County Jail without further incident.
• On Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at approximately 21:43 hours, an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Maple St in reference to a domestic disturbance.  The officer arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant in regards to the incident. A report has been made.
