The Brownwood City Council went into Executive Session in their meeting on Tuesday, July 9, and, after consultation with their attorney, came back into Open Session and approved a settlement of the Shepherd versus City of Brownwood lawsuit.  The Council approved a $6,000 settlement with the Shepherd’s with $3,000 to come from Texas Municipal League liability coverage and $3,000 to come from City funds.  They also authorized the City Attorney to draft a settlement agreement adding that there will be no further claims to be signed by the Mayor.
