The Burn Ban remains in effect in Brown County until further notice.  Commissioners took no action to change the burn ban designation when they met on Monday morning, October 7.

Much of Brown County received rain Sunday evening and Sunday night, some amounts of 1 to 2 inches in the far northern and far southern parts of the county, but in spite of that, a grass fire was fought by county departments in Precinct 1 Sunday night, on County Road 225.
