Dr. Glenn Rogers of Graford, in Palo Pinto County, is running for the District 60 seat in the Texas House of Representatives, currently held by Mike Lang. Rogers traveled to Coleman on Friday and is shown in the photo at a meet and greet. He said he will also make numerous stops in Brownwood and surrounding area in the coming months. According to his announcement to seek the office – Rogers said that his legislative priorities will focus on the issues that matter most to the hard-working families of rural Texas – “strengthening our local public schools, protecting private property rights and reforming the eminent domain process, defending the 2nd Amendment rights of all Texans, securing our southern border, providing better access to rural health care, and providing real and lasting property tax relief to landowners by addressing the broken school finance system.” Rogers is a veterinarian and rancher and has also been an educator.
