In session Monday morning, December 16, Brown County Commissioners briefly talked about lifting the Burn Ban but, in the end, took no action, meaning the Brown County Burn Ban remains in effect. It was mentioned, however, that those who need to conduct a burn may contact their county commissioner and ask for an exemption to burn.
Commissioners voted to approved purchase of 8 body cameras for bailiffs and transport deputies. Cost is $3,600 to come out of the county’s equipment fund budget. This request was made by County Judge Dr. Paul Lilly.
Commissioners also voted to approve an annexation agreement between Brown County and City of Early on 2,035 feet of county road 341 and 5,090 feet of East River Oaks Road.
