Early Voting Continues, Extended Hours for Voting Next Two Days

Early voting continues through Friday in Texas.  Here in Brownwood and Brown County, the local elections office will be open extra hours Thursday and Friday to give you ample time to cast your ballot.

On Tuesday, February 25, in Brown County, 12 people cast votes in the Democrat Primary while 229 people cast votes in the Republican Primary.

The early vote total in Brown County, as of 5 pm Tuesday, was 110 Democrats and 1,503 Republicans for a total of 1,613.

That total compares to 928 votes in 2018 and 2,200 votes in 2016 during the last presidential election so turnout is not as high this year as compared to four years ago.

Early voting continues through this Friday, February 28, at the Brown County Elections Office, 613 N. Fisk.  There will be extended hours for voting on Thursday and Friday – 7 am to 7 pm.
