BISD Family
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has taken a toll on our world, nation, and state. Please be assured that despite being on spring break, we have been continuously monitoring this ever-changing situation. We have been in daily contact with national, state, and local education and public health leaders. We are using all our available information sources to make the best decisions we can for Brownwood.
We have a regional meeting in the morning (Saturday) with superintendents from area districts. After this meeting, BISD will issue a comprehensive statement detailing our plan for the near future. This blueprint will likely include parental choices for attendance, suspension of attendance requirements for exam exemptions, suspension of UIL sanctioned activities, the process for disclosing and being cleared after spring break travel to high-risk parts of the nation or world for staff and students, field trip modifications, along with numerous other details covering the next few weeks and months.
Please monitor our BISD website (brownwoodisd.org) and social media accounts for the latest information.
