
BANGS – Bangs scored early and often Friday night at Memorial Stadium in route to a 76-23 victory to finish the regular season and to clinch the second seed in the playoffs. Next up is a long road trip out west.
The Dragons (8-1, 4-1) will tangle with District 1-3A Division II third seed Tornillo in the bi-district round of the playoffs at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Fort Stockton, according to Bangs Head Coach Kyle Maxfield.
Brady (4-6, 2-3) will head into the postseason as the fourth seed from District 2 and battle District 1 champion Crane.
Sparked by a 440-yard, seven-touchdown performance on the ground by senior running back Ethan Sanchez, the Dragons churned out 635 yards of total offense for the game, including 552 rushing.
