
Kathleen Louise Hinds, 92, of Brady, Texas, passed away on February 25, 2021 in Brownwood, Texas. She was born in Fredonia, Texas to Floyd Windham and Bessie (Bates) Windham on October 8, 1928. She married the love of her life, Clarence Hinds, on February 18, 1946. Together they had two daughters, Melinda Diane and Cheryl Ann and son, Jimmy Clarence Hinds. Kathleen devoted her life to the Lord and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Brady. She enjoyed going to Church and reading her Bible. She also cherished the time that she spent with her family and loved to cook for everyone. Kathleen enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and riding backroads and counting deer. She will be dearly missed by all those who loved her.
Kathleen Louise Hinds is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Hinds; parents, Floyd and Bessie Windham; 2 brothers, Clovis Windham and Norris Windham; son, Jimmy Clarence Hinds; and grandson, Jimmy Guy Hinds.
Kathleen is survived by two daughters, Melinda Diane Hodges, and husband Patrick of Arlington and Cheryl Ann Gutierrez and husband Pete of Brady; grandchildren, Melody Coffer and husband, Corey of Grand Prairie and Kyle Hodges of Grand Prairie, Ronnie Tawney and wife, Cari of College Station, Carla Pitcox and husband, Cory of Brady, Terry Tawney and wife, Thelisha of Colony, and Jimmy Clarence Hinds Jr. of Brady; 15 greatgrandchildren and 8 great-greatgrandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 1, 2021 at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Brady. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Ronnie Tawney, Terry Tawney, Taylor Tawney, Jacob Tawney, Jared Tawney, and Cory Pitcox.
Honorary Pallbearers include Kyle Hodges, Jerry Don Allin, and Jacob Cytaki.
The family requests that masks be worn to protect the safety of others for the Visitation and Funeral Service.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Brady.
