Enrique Martinez, 60, of Brownwood passed away Monday, June 14, 2021.

The visitation with family will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, June 18, 2021.

Funeral service will be in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 19, 2021 with interment at Eastlawn Memorial Park officiated by pastor Jesse Martinez.

Enrique was born July 15, 1960 in Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico to Jose and Amalia Martinez.  He attended school and most of his early childhood was spent in Jimenez.  He moved to the United States and married Elsa Pesina, a union that blessed them with four children.  Enrique was a God loving man who had love for all he came across.  He was a member of “Cristo es la Respuesta” ministry.  Enrique was a loving father and the best grandpa there ever was.  He was a selfless man, always put everyone else before himself.  Enrique had his way of doing things that we may not have understood, but he understood it and that was all that mattered.  He was a man of integrity and honesty, who lived his life with no regrets or guilt.  He enjoyed being at the ranch with his brother, Tomas or running errands with his sister, Maria.  He played the accordion and loved getting to make music with his brother and his church family.  Most of all, Enrique loved his Lord and his family with all his heart.  They loved him back and his memory will always be cherished and loved.

Enrique is survived by his beloved wife, Elsa Martinez of Brownwood; sons, Enrique Martinez Jr. and wife Amanda of Brownwood, bobby Pesina and wife Jackie of Gustine, CA; daughters, Mary Magda Martinez Gonzales and husband Adam of Brownwood, Roxanne Martinez of Brownwood; Brothers, Luis Martinez and wife Genoveve of Early, Juan Martinez of Brownwood, Tomas Martinez and wife, Margarita of Brownwood, Jesse Martinez and wife Rossy of Brownwood & Fabian Martinez and wife, Ruth of Brownwood, TX; 11 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Enrique was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Amalia Constancio Martinez; brother, Agapo Martinez; sister, Maria Eva Villalpando; and brother-in-law, Jesus Rodriguez.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Heartland Funeral Home for Enrique Martinez funeral services to assist with this sudden loss for the family.
