Cherry Nancy Maples Lee, age 76, of Bangs, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at a hospital in Dallas.

It was Cherry’s wishes to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2022, at High Mesa Cowboy Church in Brownwood. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Cherry was born on February 17, 1946, in Gorman to Wilburn Buck Maples and Mildred Gregg Maples. She grew up in Rising Star and was a member of High Mesa Cowboy Church. Cherry loved to bake and go antique shopping. She enjoyed watching her boys play sports and rope. Whatever her grandchildren were involved in, Cherry was there to cheer them on.

Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Jeff Lee of Coleman and Wade Lee of Bangs; her sister, Nelda Clifton of Brownwood; and her grandchildren, TaHa Lee and Trenton Lee of Bangs. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Mildred Maples; her brother, Neil Maples; and her brother-in-law, Ted Clifton.
