Gene Austin Price, age 59, of Brady, Texas passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 at his residence in Brady, Texas.  Gene, also known as “Rock” was born September 12, 1963 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Gene Austin Price and Sammie Ann (Ferrell) Price.  Gene was a lifelong resident of the Brady and Rochelle area.  He graduated from Rochelle High School in 1982, where he excelled as a very talented athlete and in academics.  He was very intelligent and loved music.  Growing up, he was the sweetest little boy who grew up to be a very kind person and a loving father.  He was a loyal Texas Longhorn and Dallas Cowboys fan.

Gene is survived by his daughter Journey Price of San Angelo, Texas; brother Terry Brumley of Altus, Oklahoma; sisters Sheri Brumley of Altus, Oklahoma and Vicki Ferrell of Brady, Texas.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Joe Brumley.
