LUBBOCK – The Brownwood Lions golf team finished where they started at the Region I-4A boys golf tournament at Shadow Hills Golf Course, finishing in 10th Thursday as the two-day, 36-hole event reached its conclusion.
The Lions shot a composite score of 636 with consecutive rounds of 318.
Bridgeport (583), Canyon Randall (588) and Andrews (595) secured the team berths to the UIL Class 4A boys golf state tournament at Legends Golf Course in Kingland May 5-6.
Individually for Brownwood, Caleb Modawell came in 10th overall with a 147 after rounds of 71 and 75, followed by Will Stewardson with a 161 on rounds on 79 and 82, Cobe Walker with a 163 on rounds of 83 and 80, and Peyton Sharp with a 165 on rounds of 86 and 80.
