May ISD announced late Wednesday night that Chad Dail, Current High School Principal, has been named the lone finalist for May ISD Superintendent by the May ISD Board of Trustees

Following a thorough and comprehensive search process, the Board of Trustees has identified Dail as the candidate whose vision, experience, and leadership qualities best align with the district’s goals and the needs of its students and community. His deep understanding of May ISD, gained through his current role, proved to be a significant factor in the board’s decision.

“We are confident that Mr. Dail’s established leadership within our high school and his dedication to student success make him the ideal leader for May ISD,” said Ben McInnis, President of the May ISD Board of Trustees.” His commitment to fostering a positive and enriching learning environment is evident in his work as principal, and we look forward to his continued service to the district in this new role.”

Dail has 15 years of experience in education, most recently serving as the High School Principal at May ISD. In this role, he has successfully implemented new academic programs and has fostered a positive school culture. He holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Tarleton State University.

“I am deeply honored and excited to be named the lone finalist for Superintendent of May ISD,” said Dail. “Having served as High School Principal, I am already deeply invested in the success of our students and the well-being of our community. I am eager to build upon the progress we’ve made and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to lead May ISD into a bright future.”

State law requires a 21-day waiting period before a final contract can be offered. The Board of Trustees anticipates formally approving Dail’s contract at a meeting scheduled for May 29.
