The Brownwood Lionettes drill team earned the All-American Team accolade, among others, at the SMU American Dance/Drill Team Camp June 20-22.
The Lionettes sent 16 members – Kailee Bessent, Kiara Godinho, Natalia Ramos, Jalynn Carrillo, Emilee Evetts, Cambree Jefferson, Nixon Johnson, Macallister Long, Mya McVicker, Natalie Zamora, Adamaris Moreno, Alona Perez, Allyannah Rodriguez, Rachel Smith, Ariana Staggs, and Madeley Tiahue – to the competition.
Other honors included:
- Diamond Sweepstakes with Division 1 ratings in all performances.
- Best Home Dance award
- Best in Showmanship award for Day 1
- 6 All-American Award winners: Kailee Bessent Natalia Ramos, Kiara Godinho, Nixon Johnson, Ariana Staggs, and Mya McVicker
- 3 Honorable Mention All American Award winners: Rachel Smith, Cambree Jefferson, and Natalie Zamora
- Natalia Ramos earned most outstanding All American Performer
- Kailee Bessent earned best All American Leadership award
