Terry Kennedy, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, at the age of 75.
Born on May 7, 1950, Terry lived a life rich in love, craftsmanship, and humor. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years as a welder—a skill he continued to enjoy and apply throughout his life. His career in the energy industry spanned Gulf Oil, Pennzoil, Chevron, and ultimately Devon Energy, where he retired after years of dedicated service.
Terry’s greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Margie Kennedy; sons Bryan Kennedy and Justin Kennedy; grandchildren Todd Kennedy, Tinsley Kennedy, Noah Kennedy, Ella Kennedy, Shelby Dill, Tyler Miles, Cody James, and Bryson Vossler; and many great-grandchildren who will remember him fondly for his playful teasing, warm heart, and unforgettable laugh. Whether goofing around with his grandchildren, boating across a peaceful lake, or admiring his favorite classic cars, Terry filled every moment with energy and affection.
He will be deeply missed—but his legacy lives on in every smile, every story, and every burst of laughter inspired by the man who made life feel brighter.
A come and go Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, July 15, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home in Brownwood. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
