Most of Brown County’s cross country programs took part in the Brownwood Invitational Wednesday at Riverside Park, with the Zephyr Bulldogs leading the charge with a fourth-place finish in varsity boys action.

The Bulldogs finished behind only Jim Ned (98), Killeen Shoemaker (98), Abilene High (146) in a 26-team field comprised of 203 runners.

Aaron Fagan placed fourth overall for the Bulldogs in a time of 16:38.4, followed by Spencer Marwitz (11th, 17:13.72), Reese Hamm (49th, 18:42.82), Slade Butler (57th, 18:49.23), Ethan Prochaska (67th, 18:59.35), Chris Armstrong (95th, 19:36.84), CJ Byers (103rd, 19:45.98), Riley McCuller (128th, 20:21.12), and Cooper Walls (135th, 20:41.05).
