Brownwood locals to appear on HGTV series House Hunters

Three Brownwood locals, Christy Meinecke and Abram and Torri Choate,  are to appear on HGTV series House Hunters.  The episode is scheduled to air on Sunday, September 7 at 9:00 PM central time on the HGTV channel.  The episode will feature associate broker and Realtor, Christy Meinecke, assisting the Choate’s on their home-buying journey in Brownwood and Early.  The episode is titled “Visions of Mema in Texas” and focuses on Torri and Abram’s search for a new home after making the decision to downsize when two of their kids go to college.  Christy stated “It was an incredible experience and I can’t wait to see our hometown on HGTV!” The popular TV show brings viewers along during the homebuying process and gives a glimpse of the process, emotions and hurdles inherent to the home buying experience.  Torri has a theater background and participated in many local productions and said “This was an experience of a lifetime! It was great to see behind the scenes, and have the opportunity to see the production first hand.  I really enjoyed getting to know the crew, too!”

Abram is the Executive Director of CASA (National Court Appointed Special Advocates) in Brownwood and has been married to Torri for 26 years.  Torri is the manager of Shaw’s Marketplace featuring, local artisans, quality goods, food and entertainment.  Torri has been best friends with Christy since their days at Brownwood High School 30+ years ago! Christy is a top producing Associate Broker and Realtor with her family’s real estate company Texas GoldStar Real Estate in Brownwood.
