Beverly was born in Abilene, Texas, on August 26, 1941, to Ray and Eloise Snodgrass. She was the only girl of their five children. Beverly met the love of her life, Arvin Stroud, on a blind date set up by each of their best friends. They were married on June 13, 1959, in Fort Worth, Texas. They were blessed with two children. They had a love that only others dream of. At the time of Arvin’s passing, they had 65 wonderful years together.

Beverly and Arvin spent many years doing the things that they loved. They hunted the grasslands of west Texas hunting pheasants, the hill country of Texas hunting deer and quail, and the mountains of Colorado hunting Elk. They engaged in fishing activities across the lakes and rivers of Texas. They loved putting on fish fries at their church’s dinner on the grounds.

Beverly spent her younger years as a homemaker while raising her children. After the kids were in school, she helped Arvin with their business. She later became a licensed audiologist. She was forced to retire at the age of 69 because of an unfortunate accident.

Beverly and Arvin attended the Lake Brownwood Church of Christ for many years. The fellowship with their church family was a huge part of their lives. They were dedicated to studying God’s word and worshiping their Lord and Savior.

Beverly is survived by her son Allen Stroud and his wife Teresa, her daughter Becky Jones and her husband H.D. Jones of Brownwood, her granddaughter Leslie Northcutt and her husband Charles, and her granddaughter Rebecca Graves of Round Rock.
