Jerry Lane Bingham, 78, of Blanket Texas passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025. A visitation with his family will be held at Heartland Funeral Home, Thursday November 6th, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Graveside service will be held, Friday, November 7th, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Zephyr Cemetery, Zephyr Texas.

Jerry was born November 23, 1946 in Gorman, Texas to Graham and Izora Bingham.  He graduated from school in DeLeon, Texas and joined the United States Army proudly serving for four years. Jerry married Janet Petty on May 29, 1970 in Cisco, Texas.  They made a home in Blanket, Texas and raised two daughters, Shary Kay Bingham of Blanket and Stacy Lynn Bingham of New Braunfels.  He was a very proud Grandad to Amanda Lane and Isabella Rose Estrada never complaining about sitting through their choir performances, even when he didn’t know the language. Many of the performances were in German and Italian, he was a champion for his kiddos. He loved his girls. Jerry retired from 3M after 33 years. Jerry was a cowboy from day one and loved the cowboy way of life.  He was most happy riding and roping calves and steers.  He participated in too many roping’s to count in his life, winning multiple buckles, tack, saddles and a trailer over the years.  His bride, Jan, always by his side.  They are now together again, I’m sure he’s roping and she’s keeping up with his times.

Jerry is survived by daughters, Shary Bingham and Stacy Bingham; granddaughters, Amanda Estrada and Isabella Estrada of Amarillo; sister and brother-in-law; Wadena and Kenny Cogburn of Comanche; sister-in-law Beth Petty of Putnam; sister and brother-in-law Jerry and Sharon Toland of Breckenridge; Special family friends Brandon and Tamara Gray of Blanket; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Jan; Dad-Graham Bingham; Mom-Izora Carroll Bingham; Sister-Linda Bingham Grace; Brother-Garlan Bingham
