Jimmy Dean Wyatt, 79

Jimmy Dean Wyatt, 79, of Clyde, Texas, passed away on November 6, 2025, at Hendrick Health in Abilene. A funeral service for Jimmy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Windham Cemetery in Lake Brownwood.

Jim was born in Brownwood on August 23, 1946, to Vernon and Jewel Wyatt. He married Linda Mitchell in 1973 and they raised two sons, David and Michael. Jim worked in law enforcement at the Red Oak Police Department, owned J&L Furniture in Brownwood, and later worked at Kohler for 20 years. He later married Freddie LeJeune in 2003, and together they owned Wood N’ Thangs in Stephenville for more than 15 years.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife Freddie LeJeune Wyatt, parents Vernon and Jewel Wyatt, and stepparents Helen Wyatt and Sam Milton. He is survived by his sons David Wyatt and wife Lisa of Van, Texas, and Michael Wyatt and wife Ramona of Clyde, Texas; brother Bill Wyatt, sister Gloria Wyatt Whitaker, cousins, nieces, nephews and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He loved woodworking, spending time with family, and cheering on his great-grandson Jayden in football.
