Marciano H. Arellano, 94, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 12, 1931, in Ennis, Texas to Fermin Arellano and Eulovia De La Torres. Marciano lived a long, full, and faithful life built on devotion, humility, and an unwavering commitment to God and family.
A man of deep Catholic faith, Marciano was truly Godly in every sense of the word. His children never heard him speak a curse word, and he never uttered a racial slur, an uncommon grace that reflected the purity of his heart and the sincerity of his character. He talked about God often and lived his faith quietly but powerfully through the way he treated others. He never missed a Sunday Mass and carried his beliefs with him in every decision and interaction.
Marciano was known for his good personality, strong work ethic, and gentle spirit. He worked hard all his life, always providing, always persevering, and always leading by example. His greatest accomplishment, his greatest pride, was his family. He loved dancing with his wife, enjoyed peaceful days spent fishing, and taught his children how to swim, play baseball, and appreciate the simple joys of life.
Raised within a large and loving family of nine siblings, Marciano later built a beautiful family of his own. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Arellano, and his daughter, Lydia Cuellar and his parents.
He is cherished and remembered by his children and their spouses: Janie and Robert Reyes, Norma and Buck Modgling, Rosa and David Castañeda, Alex and Celia Arellano, and Vincent and Marci Arellano, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who will carry forward his love, faith, and kindness.
Marciano will be deeply missed, but his legacy of faith, love, and integrity will live on forever in the hearts of those blessed to have known him.
