No. 24 Lady Lions coast to 60-21 victory at Goldthwaite at Hamilton tournament

HAMILTON – The No. 24 Brownwood Lady Lions cruised to a 60-21 victory over the Goldthwaite Lady Eagles Friday morning in Hamilton tournament action, improving to 5-1 on the season in the process.

The Lady Lions led 8-4 after one quarter, 26-10 at halftime, and 47-18 through three periods.

Brownwood shot 43 percent (24 of 56) from the floor, including 33 percent (7 of 21) on three-pointers, and sank 83 percent (5 of 6) of its free throws. The Lady Lions also turned over the ball just five times while recording 16 steals and pulling down 28 rebounds.

Nylah Hall again led the Lady Lions with 14 points followed by 13 from Jade Morin, 12 from Trinity Roberts, eight from Hannah Deen, four from Icess Hall, three from Jaidyn Hope and two points apiece from Jentry Coalson, Demayha Hooker and Cambree Jefferson.

The Lady Lions will conclude tournament action Saturday.
