
Juanita Perez Villarreal, age 87, was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family. Juanita was born on September 28, 1938, in Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico, to Dionicio Perez and Maria Constancia Perez.
She was married to her beloved husband and love of her life, Jesus Villarreal, for 68 years. She was a devoted homemaker and the mother of five. She enjoyed sewing, collecting rocks, gardening, bird watching, baking, and cooking. She was a true nurturer, guided by her own rules, strength, and heart. Juanita was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jesus Villarreal; two daughters, Maria and husband Reyes Cardenas of Arlington, and Nora and husband Juan Cisneros of Brownwood; and three sons, Jesse and wife Anita Villarreal of Arlington, Joe and wife Ana Villarreal of Brownwood, and Gustavo and wife Irma Villarreal of Brownwood. She is also survived by 11 beloved grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angelica Yasalet Cardenas; three sisters, Emma, Irma, and Elvira; and four brothers, Rodolfo, Isac, Rinaldo, and Hueman.
Visitation will be held on December 11 at 6 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. The interment service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m., with burial following at Greenleaf Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
