GATESVILLE – The Brownwood Lady Lions landed in the win column for the first time during the 2026 soccer season, defeating Waco Connally, 6-0, on Friday in their initial outing at the Gatesville tournament.

Six different Lady Lions scored as Kynlee Jefferson found the net with an assist from Khloe Galvan; Hollyn Duncan then scored off an assist from Amerie De La Paz; Galvan scored unassisted; De La Paz scored with the assist coming from Bella Garza; Madison Weckwerth scored with an assist from Kynlie Lewis; and Ailean Palacios found the net with an assist from Duncan.

The Lady Lions (1-1) conclude tournament action Saturday with games against Hillsboro at 12:15 p.m. and Robinson at 3:30 p.m.
