
MARBLE FALLS – The No. 11 Brownwood Lady Lions extended their win streak to 12 games and reached the 20-win plateau for the season with a 53-25 road victory over Marble Falls Saturday afternoon.
Brownwood (20-3) shot 36 percent from the floor, including 42 percent (9 of 21) from three-point land, and also drained 75 percent (6 of 8) of its free throws. The Lady Lions also recorded 14 steals against Marble Falls (9-14), committed 13 turnovers and grabbed 15 rebounds.
Nylah Hall led the charge with 24 points for Brownwood followed by 17 from Trinity Roberts, four from Jade Morin, three each from Jentry Coalson and Abby Brasher, and two points from Demayha Hooker.
Brownwood jumped out to a 20-5 lead after one quarter, was in front 28-14 at halftime, and carried a 42-22 advantage into the final period.
The Lady Lions are off until 5:45 p.m. Friday when they open the District 6-4A portion of their schedule at Warren Gym against Mineral Wells.
