Patricia Isabel Brooks, 38, passed away on February 25, 2026. Her family will host a visitation from 6 to 7 PM Monday, March 2nd, with Rosary to follow at 7 PM at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Services will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10 AM.
Patricia Isabel Brooks was born March 17, 1987 to Javier and Martha Estrada Mares at Brownwood Regional Hospital in Brownwood, Texas.
She attended Brownwood High School and graduated in 2005. She obtained her Associated Degree in 2019. She married Jason Dwayne Brooks on December 1, 2018 in Brownwood, Texas and began a life together that blessed them with 2 children, Madison and Keedan Brooks.
Patricia Isabel Brooks moved through life with a spirit that could brighten even the quietest room. Her smiled carried warmth, strength, and a gentle promise of love. It was the kind of smile that made people feel safe, as if in her presence they were protected by kindness itself. She lived her life with an open heart, always ready to give. Patricia was the kind of should who would give the shirt off her back without a second thought if someone else needed it more. To know her was to know generosity, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. Her friends were never just friends, they were family she chose and loved deeply. Though she reassured the company of those around her, Patricia also embraced moments of solitude. In those quiet spaces she found peace, reflection, and the strength that shaped the compassionate person so many admired.
Patricia also carried a joyful spark that often revealed itself on the dance floor. She loved to dance, letting music lift her spirit and bring smiles to those around her. One of her favorite moves was the playful and unforgettable dance, The Robot. She performed with a charm that could make anyone laugh and join in the fun. In those moments, her joy was contagious, and her laughter filled the room. Patricia lived fully-with kindness, humor, and a heart that welcomed everyone. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the loved she shared continues to echo in the lives she touched. Until we meet again, we carry her light within us. She will be deeply missed, loving remember and forever cherished. Her dance may have ended here, but the rhythm of her love will live on in every heart she touched.
Patricia is survived by her husband Jason Brooks of Brownwood, Texas; Children: Madison and Keedan Brooks of Brownwood, Texas; Parents Javier and Martha Mares of Brownwood, Texas; Brothers, Manuel and Tess Mares of Killeen, Texas; and Javier Mares Jr. of Brownwood, Texas; Niece Esmeralda Mares and Nephew Kaiden Mares of Killeen, Texas; Grandmother Guadalupe Mares of Brownwood, Texas; Grandfather Jose Luis Estrada of Brownwood, Texas, Various aunts and uncles; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Gonzalo Mares and maternal grandmother Margarita Estrada and cousin Fernando Alvizo.
