Eight members of the Brownwood Lady Lions basketball team, which posted the second-most wins in a single season in program history, were honored by the coaches of District 6-4A.

All-district superlative award winners included Co-Offensive MVP Nylah Hall, Co-Newcomer of the Year Jentry Coalson, and Sixth Man of the Year Hannah Deen.

Landing on the first team for the Lady Lions were Icess Hall, Trinity Roberts and Jade Morin.

Second-team choices from Brownwood included Demayha Hooker and Jaidyn Hope.

Receiving academic all-district honors for the Lady Lions were Deen, Roberts, Coalson, Icess Hall, Nylah Hall, Lanie Johnson, Abby Brasher, Londyn Randle and Annalyn Sanchez.

The rest of the 6-4A superlative honors includes Co-MVPs Jaycee Riddle and Laney Hudson from Brock; Co-Offensive MVP Addison Treppa from Glen Rose; Co-Defensive MVPs Taegan Sanders from Brock and Audrey McClendon from Stephenville; Co-Newcomer of the Year Cailey Harwell from Glen Rose; and Coach of the Year Alex Stephenson from Brock.

Rounding out the first team were Brock’s Jillian Gleaton, Savannah Hatcher, and Kate Thomas; Glen Rose’s Karsyn Ibarra; Graham’s Briley Randall and Addyson Weaver; Mineral Wells’ Aniyah Richardson; and Stephenville’s Brinley Hall and Brooklyn Hardin.

The remainder of the second team includes Brock’s Riggs Brackney and HannahBeth Hughes; Glen Rose’s Lexee Simpson and Mallory Young; and Stephenville’s Iza Vandalsem and Taylor Berry.

The Lady Lions finished with a 28-6 record, 8-2 in district, and peaked at No. 8 in the state rankings, while making the playoffs for the 16th time in 17 years under the direction of head coach Heather Hohertz.
