GRAHAM – The see-saw ride through the District 6-4A softball schedule continued for the Brownwood Lady Lions Friday night, as they leveled their league mark with a 2-0 victory over the Graham Lady Blues.

Kaydence Allen hurled a no-hitter for Brownwood (14-10, 2-2), striking out 11 Graham (9-12, 1-3) batters while issuing three walks.

Offensively, the Lady Lions broke a scoreless tie in the top of seventh inning where they tallied both of their runs.

With one out in the seventh, Carlee Burks and Lila Mares singled in succession to put a pair of runners on base. Amarrea Thomas followed with a fielder’s choice that retired Burks at third base, leaving runners on first and second with two down. Audrey Keas then delivered a two-RBI line drive to center field, which scored both Mares and Kiara Delce, courtesy-running for Thomas.

Brownwood collected six hits in the game – two by Burks and one apiece by Mares, Keas, Hanah Campos and Adyn Lucas.

Next for the Lady Lions, they wrap up the first half of league play at home against first-place Brock (15-9, 4-0) at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
