Richard Howard Strange, born on January 13, 1978, in Greenville, Texas, passed away suddenly on March 31, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. A man of warmth and dedication, Richard is remembered for his vibrant personality, deep love for his family, and his unwavering commitment to those around him.
Richard’s life was marked by a spirit of adventure and a passion for his work. He was a devoted truck driver for many years, most recently employed by PiMco Transportation in San Angelo, Texas. His career brought him not only professional fulfillment but also the joy of many friendships forged along countless miles of road. Beyond the rig, Richard’s interests were diverse and heartfelt—he delighted in reading and spending time outdoors, enjoyed immersing himself in video games, and had a keen enthusiasm for exploring vintage cars.
Raised across Texas, Florida, and Arkansas, Richard furthered his education at Texas Women’s University in Denton, enriching the foundation upon which he built his fruitful life. Above all else, Richard’s pride and greatest accomplishment was his family. On August 18, 2000, he married Jennifer Robin Faries in Coleman, Texas, a union that brought enduring happiness. Richard cherished his beloved wife, Robin, and their son, Hunter Cye Strange of Coleman, who survive him alongside a loving and close-knit family.
His familial bonds extended with warmth and affection to his mother, Phyllis Johnson, and his two brothers, Michael Strange and wife Kristin, and Daniel “Ben” Strange and wife Misty. He was also blessed with the love of his in-laws, Donna and J.C. Faries. Richard’s joy in family life was evident in his relationships with his nieces and nephews: Phillip Strange, Devin Strange, Alexis Strange, Danielle Strange, Daniel Strange, Jr. and wife Bethanie, as well as his great-nieces and nephews, Decklynn Strange, Chance Jeffrey, Marley Jeffrey, Canan Strange, and numerous cousins.
Richard’s life was also marked by loss. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Harven Strange, whose memory he held dear throughout his life.
