Larry Don Phillips, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Austin, Texas. He was born on March 24, 1950, in Ada, Oklahoma, to James Elber “J.E.” Phillips and Rene Park Phillips.
Larry moved from Mullin, Texas, to Dripping Springs, Texas, in 1971. He was a member of the Church of Christ and worked for the City of Austin in vehicle repair for many years.
He is survived by his brother, Richard Lynn Phillips; his nephews, Ken Phillips and Neal Phillips; his niece, Lori Stephens; and his great nieces and nephews, John Riley Stephens, James Stephens, Jessica Phillips, and Marissa Edwards.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, James Elber “J.E.” Phillips and Rene Park Phillips; and his brothers, Riley Phillips and Jim Phillips.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Southern Oaks Church of Christ, 2411 Frate Barker Road, Austin, Texas 78748. Fellowship and dinner will follow the service. Interment will take place at a later date at Oakview Cemetery in Mullin, Texas.
