Jerry Bob McAlister, age 77, of Coleman, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in the Coleman County Medical Center. A service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion. Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Jerry Bob McAlister was born September 3, 1941, in Coleman, the only child of Carl McAlister and Nettie Croft McAlister. He grew up in Coleman where he attended school, graduating in the Class of 1960. He attended North Texas State University. He was a business owner in Coleman, owning both JB’s Restaurant and JB’s Liquor Store in Burkett. In 1996 he married Sarita Bolton in Coleman.

Survivors include his wife, Sarita Bolton McAlister of Coleman; one daughter, Dee Dee Falls and husband Justin of Paris; two step-children, Vanessa Richards and husband Clay of Oplin, Travis King and wife Leslie of Prosper; one grandson, Tristan Falls; step-grandchildren, Drey Richards, Colt Richards, Aidan Cannon, Cruz King, Creed King; one great-granddaughter, Brittyn Richards.
