Woman Arrested for Meth Possession

Only one call was listed on the report Tuesday, May 7, from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.  According to the call sheet, on May 5, 2019, a Deputy was traveling northward in the 12000 block of Highway 279 and observed a vehicle in a ditch.  The vehicle was facing south and not moving.  The Deputy checked on the welfare of the driver, a female, who said she was just in a wreck.  The Department of Public Safety was notified and responded but the woman refused to have the wreck worked by the DPS.  While speaking to the woman, the Deputy noticed a broken glass pipe consistent with smoking of methamphetamine.  A probable cause search was done and two (2) syringes with liquid methamphetamine and 2 crystal shards were located along with a weighing scale with methamphetamine residue.  The total weight of the meth seized was 2.0 grams.  She was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 1g>4g and taken to Brown County Jail without further incident.
