Only one call was listed on the report Tuesday, May 7, from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department. According to the call sheet, on May 5, 2019, a Deputy was traveling northward in the 12000 block of Highway 279 and observed a vehicle in a ditch. The vehicle was facing south and not moving. The Deputy checked on the welfare of the driver, a female, who said she was just in a wreck. The Department of Public Safety was notified and responded but the woman refused to have the wreck worked by the DPS. While speaking to the woman, the Deputy noticed a broken glass pipe consistent with smoking of methamphetamine. A probable cause search was done and two (2) syringes with liquid methamphetamine and 2 crystal shards were located along with a weighing scale with methamphetamine residue. The total weight of the meth seized was 2.0 grams. She was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 1g>4g and taken to Brown County Jail without further incident.
