The Texas State Comptroller has released the monthly Sales Tax Allocation Report. These allocations are based on sales made in March by businesses that report tax monthly and sales made by first quarter filers.
When used with other local indicators, these reports may help indicate present and future economic trends. Brown County payments from the State are as follows:
City of Brownwood – $541,643.45 down 2.41% from this time last year
City of Early – $95,223.11, down 7.61% from this time last year
City of Bangs – $15,166.43, down 2.63% from this time last year
City of Blanket – $3,024.81, up 3.06% from this time last year
While numbers are slightly lower for this month, payments Year to Date show increases across the board.
City of Brownwood YTD – $2,371,416.44, up 4.23% from this time last year
City of Early YTD – $465,219.01, up 6.77% from this time last year
City of Bangs YTD – $63,254.82, up 1.16% from this time last year
City of Blanket YTD – $$12,909.79, up 11.82% from this time last year
