In session Monday, May 20, 2019, Brown County Commissioners received an update from County Judge, Dr. Paul Lilly, on his transparent government initiative to video County Commission meetings and post the video to the Brown County website. “Just to bring everybody up to speed on where we’re at on my promise to start recording and airing the commissioner’s court meetings for those who couldn’t be here, I’ve talked to the company that maintains our web page and they are ready to go,” Lilly said. “What we will do is get the equipment which, as explained to me is a very small cost and he has the money in his existing budget to cover that, so there’s no extra budgetary expense, so soon we will be recording our meetings and we’ll post it to the web page,” Lilly said. According to the website provider, the videos will stay online for about 30 days. They will then be archived and be available under the Freedom of Information Act for anybody who would like a copy, Lilly said.
