A kitchen was heavily damaged but the rest of the house was saved in a Sunday house fire at north Lake Brownwood.  According to Early Fire Chief, Chad Hill,  Five county fire departments responded to a structure fire at 12:30 pm Sunday at 3340 Surfside Drive at North Lake Brownwood.

North Lake Volunteer Fire Department had a truck on scene initially before Brownwood, Early, Lake Bridge and May fire departments arrived to find smoke coming from the attic.  The fire was put out and units performed extensive overhaul and checked for extensions.    The fire is under investigation by Early Fire Marshal, Seth Ringler, and Brownwood Fire Marshal, Buddy Preston.
