Based off the hit movie starring Whoopi Goldberg, the Brownwood Lyric Theatre will present ‘Sister Act’ on eight occasions July 8-17.

According to the Lyric website, “Sister Act is the feel-good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Featuring original music by Tony- and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors), this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.”

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 8 and 15; 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 9 and 16; and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 10 and 17.
