Seal Coat Maintenance Project Continues in Brown, McCulloch, Mills Counties

The Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) contractor will continue seal coat maintenance operations in McCulloch County beginning on Saturday, Sept. 10, weather and other unforeseen delays permitting.

Work will begin Saturday on FM 2996 (from US 377 to FM 1121), and US 190 (from US 377 to the San Saba County Line) in McCulloch County.

Crews will then move into Brown County, late Monday through Wednesday, on the following roads:

US 67: From Beaver St. in Brownwood to 0.1 mi. east of CR 153
US 67: From US 377 (Main St.) to Beaver Street in Brownwood
FM 2525 (Williams Ranch Road): From FM 2126 (the “Access Road”) to the end of state maintenance
FM 45: From 5 mi. south of FM 2126 to the Mills County Line

Depending on work progress, Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning, work will move into Mills County on FM 3023 (from FM 574 to the end of state maintenance).

Motorists are asked to slow their speed when driving near the work convoy, obey road signs and avoid distractions. If possible, please plan an alternate route to avoid possible delays.
